 here is the 2nd online group Role Playing in Dreamy Adventure 

i am using different text colour to different shape the character when doing text role-playing

Crestmaiden: i am exploring and setting for my wording, hopefully it's clear enough

Skysaver:  ha ha...  pls use blank ink,  very hard to read if using just now ink lah

Crestmaiden say to Skysaver: ok, i guess this is my wording, my style to communicate here  ••   feel good.  is this ok? ok for read?

Skysaver:  yes

Fidget: there was a legend in our hometown that if someone accidentally stepped on the crystal stone on the mountain, our hometown will explore and everyone shall die.

Fidget: One of our villagers stepped on the crystal stone and I am travelling to look for any wiseman to help me.

Shayleemomo:  Exodusor - I am confuse too.

Crestmaiden:   ••   crest in a deep shock, what happend then, fidget, i am travlling from space to space, and i accidentally come here... i am sorry to listen this, would you like to tell me more

Fidget: According to my father, I have to find 6 wise man to help to solve the problems.

Fidget: does anyone of u know the wise man?

Shayleemomo:  Exodusor: sorry I introduce myself that day u r too sick to know my present, by the way, I am shaylee and I came from the Valeey of Forbidden Shadow.

Fidget: because the crystal stone has 6 corners.
 

Crestmaiden: what's is so special about this 6 wise man? where can we find them?

Fidget: ai...this is my real problem. i have been flying around the world but nobody know about the wise man....:-(  my father only said they have to be different from me.

PhloxEAwing:  ok i am back, and i know of no wise man but papu is wise

Crestmaiden: shaylee, exodusor, phloxE, and skysaver had you all hear bout the wise man fidget looking for?

Fidget: how should i greet you? who is papu?

Fidget: No...I am thinking of my family who are still at my hometown. They might die anytime if i cannot find the wisemen within 48 hours.

Crestmaiden: fidget, i can play with the wind.... (calling the wind, the tneder wind  surrounding the fidget, and make a comfortable joy)

Fidget: but my family cannot hear it.

Fidget: can his really help?

Shayleemomo:  Phlox : Take a deep breath, think only of your flying into the skies and not trying to think of helping Fidget, you will worry about it later.....

Skysaver:  Phlox-  we still have time a mention by Fidget.....  within 48 hourss....you are able to make it..

Shayleemomo:  Phlox : Oh no, your leg there are scratches every where..... r u in pain

Crestmaiden: dear friends, i think i forgot to told you all that i can travel with time and space... if you are wishing to "turn back time" i can bring you to the time you wish

PhloxEAwing:  all good in the meantime we can still work out what Fidgit can do to meet up with her wise man

Fidget: Crest: can we try?

Shayleemomo:  Crest : Do you have anything to heal the wounds. 

Crestmaiden: fidget, do you think you need to go back?

Fidget: Yes, I wish to go back and stop the person from stepping on the crystal stone..

Shayleemomo:  Fidget: but even if you go back now, you can't help them

Crestmaiden: nope, i can control wind well, but if you think this wind may help to heal (call the wind)

PhloxEAwing:  Shaylee, thanks no bruises perfect landing

Fidget: Shaylee: Why?Why can't i help?

Skysaver:  phlox - good job... now u can perfect landing

PhloxEAwing:  Shaylee, yes why can't we help them

Exodusor:  "what a bunch of XXX!" sigh

Shayleemomo:  Fidget: Because you only are 1, without power and not strong enough yet, you need the wisemen to advise you what to do..  dont just go blindly, you may get hurt and you will not be able to help.

PhloxEAwing:  Loner ranger, U sound mad at us

Exodusor:  PhloxE: that's just your perception

Crestmaiden: shaylee, what u mean is true, and we r lacking of time, as fidget said within 48 hours the place will explore.... where can we get this wiseman?

Crestmaiden: OK, exodusor, i hope you won't be angry or mind about what shaylee and PhloxE thought about your perception, and do you have any idea to help fidget here?

Shayleemomo:  Exodusor: Because I heard Phlox asking you whether you are mad or not?

Crestmaiden: i agree with skysaver, fidget, can u recall, is this wise man really a man? or is a woman? or wha't the character of this WM?

Fidget: no, he just said the wisemen has to be different from us and they know what to do

Exodusor:  Crest: I am not angry...i am just lost...

Fidget: are all of you considers diff from me?

Skysaver:  fidget- what different your fahter refer to?

 Exodusor:  "and i am finding hard to understand u creatures!"

Fidget: diff from me should be referrring to diff in all aspects.

Crestmaiden: Exodusor, i am glad that you tell us you r not angry, but lost... if you would like to tell, where you "lost" to, we can share together... by the way, have yo become better?

Skysaver:  fidget- then might be us....may be you just bring us and each of us have our strong ability；   fidget -  unfortune that one foolish other can join us at this movement

Reading: chapter 14: Stories from Island

when i am reading this chapter, i am started to imagine the children i work with, in HOME. most of the children present the behavioral problem as they had sexually assault, bully and no confident. The dynamic play therapy is an creative arts modalities interaction are used in integrated way to do intervention with the respective children.  this technique especially used to address basic interpersonal, emotional conflict with the goals of developing corrective experiences within relationships

while, i think the relationship must based on trust. children can engage in expressive play together using drama, art, movement, and video with playfulness and spntaneity. the play most probaly on non-directive way. when it goes along, the proces will naturally produce intimacy, trust and mutual reciprocal positive feeling in development.

1st session: Crest Maiden in DRP World

i am confuse, as i am not sure shall i go back to the picture as Alex mentioned or used the DRP World which the character i had created.

Melinda and Mary was ontime. others, still having be there. so 3 of us start conversation discuss a little bit via conference call of what to do. Cheng joint in few minutes then. we decided to used the scenario given and start to role play

we decided to do some trial and warm up, as melinda and mary feeling unwell...
actually i am feeling unwell too, as i m having too much workload, near to burn out by heavy workload. then just back from camp, it's a goverment training course on Kursus Kenegaraan. back on desk, internal audit were audit my unit fail and record......rushing

OK, back to the story here...

actually i felt strange. the feelings is like i am talking alone, thinking and acting alone. as i can't see them, i try to imagine in my "magic space- my little bautiful mind' of the scenario given, i even download the picture by ALS memebrs of their character, and start to imagine where we are.


I am somehow confuse when melinda asked a lot questions without directing to whom. but finally i know she is mentioned to someone who is short hair with pants. hehe... it's really a good trial

Scene become hot, as seok binn- the sky saver and then elaine joint in. we are stop at focused the story on the flute that is so special.


time shows 9.15 pm, i decided to drop off the line and asked all the ALS members to deroll themselves and chat via conference audio call.
we reflect about some feelings, but due to line distraction, we stop. we manage to come out with 2nd time online Drama Role Playing which is fixed on next Monday 31, May 2010. Time : 8.30pm-9.30pm. on air.

and suprisingly, there are 7 of us in this mission of journey.

Once upon a time....... where beings exist before the dawn of time and space, in the deep recesses of our memories we see glimpses of such a world. This is one such world. The lushness of flora and fauna in this world have given birth to the myriads of beings that roam in them. It was a time too where this dream like world is about to come face to face with challenge of such a calamity of overwhelming proportions that their world will be transformed forever. The beings in this world have each lived in timeless peace, comfort and security within their own reality, each in their respective lives in their communities. This is about to change..... an individual from each community is about to receive the 'call', a call to adventure which will transform their lives and others.

The elemental energies have infused the minds of the seven individuals through a dream to gather by a pool deep in the forest to receive the message which they, individually and collectively have to choose how they are going to react to such a calling.
 
At the gathering by the pool, deep in the forest, the beings started to initiate for their first time tentative conversation with each other, not knowing what to expect or who these people are.......

(Shaylee continue) I was playing at the meadow, and suddenly I am here, where is here may I ask.
Shaylee:You are pretty, what is your name?

PhloxE: Phlox E here, my papu sent me, he said it's time i go for an adventure and it's part of the growing up custom.

Shaylee: You, wearing the long pair of pant, what is your name? Hi, you with the long stick, so cute what is your name?

PhloxE: Shaylee, who else is here / I am not wearing any pants?

Crest Maiden: hi, Shaylee, i am Chronosphere Master, Call me Crest Maiden, as you can see, i always with my modena colour coat. and my eyes is sky blue.  i had opened the "door of time", and i entered to this world, then i had meet with you....and you,  and you too! What are you all doing here? may i asked...

Shaylee: (pointing at the person, short hair, long pant with short hair) who is she?

(Thinks Exodusorn: "I am wondering what these creatures are chatting")

(Crest Maiden Think "it's really interesting to look at Shaylee and phloxE here...and listen to their conversation, this world is interesting" )

(Think Shaylee: "Why is she not answering me, the person with red jacket? Doesn't she understand me? Well let me try again"  "This time let me go in front of her")

Exodusor think again: "I heard someone introduced himself/herself as Crest Maiden, Shaylee and Phlox e" I m wondering whether they have something to share with me?

PhloxE:  (feeling alittle lost) Shaylee!! i can hear 2 other people here. Oh! what do we do?

Shaylee Walk in front of the person, (Shaylee) look into her eyes, said: Hi, you look cool.........What is your name, person with the red jacket.

Exodusor: : err..u mean me?

Shaylee: Yes you.

Exodusor: You can call me lone ranger

Shaylee: Okay, really very cool...

(Skysaver joint into this world........... )
 Crest maiden walk nearer to the person with red... and see, wait...  say Crest Maiden: i hear some one is nearing this world

Exodusor:  oh...u too, looks cool

Shaylee: I am lost I feels dizzy too, what are we doing here?

Exodusor: we can take a rest here...

Crest Maiden: i am wondering, what are you all doing here,  Hey, Lone ranger, how you be here?

(PhIoxE 'Standing aside', and at the same time, PhloxE- decided to wait and watch. Trying to recall  what did papu say bout adventure.)

Exodusor: just came to explore this place

Crest Maiden: Shaylee, who bring you here? where is your hometown ?

Shaylee: I am thirsty  (Shaylee walk near the pool, and use both hand like a bowl and put some water and bring up to her mouth and drink it)

Crest Maiden: PhloxE, (turn the body round at look at her) you said you papu sent you here? Did he told you anything?

 (PhloxE Swing about enjoying the slight breeze, started sining) do da do, what can I do,  Oh Oh, Crest

Shaylee: I was playing in the meadow reading my spell book, and suddenly I was here.

Phloxe start to respond:  PhloxE Papu only siad i am to have an adventure before I can Flower. Crest lady, why are U here

Skysaver:  Hi all,  my name is skysaver

PhloxE: Hi sky saver. Do U know why u R here?

Shaylee: Come to think of it, i was reading in the page where a spell can transport a person in distress, but I am not in distress, why huh?: R we here for a purpose, or are just passing by?

Skysaver: Yes...I come to help the earth

PhloxE (turning to face Shyalee) :  U still have not asnwer my question and now i've Forgotten what it is. (upset)

Crest Maiden looked at PhloxE: hmm....Phloxe, as i say ealier, i am travelling across time, while i am travelling i had lost control of  the time and space, then i enter here. while i come in, i saw Shaylee this little creature "wah e wah" make some noise here........... then i meet with you all. that's how i am here.

Exodusor: i would like to apologise for being away..I needs excuse myself

Crest Maiden: (sky saver helping earth..........? ) Exodusor, will you come back here again today?

Shaylee: (Looking at the new comer) you look so tight in your custome, very golden, what is it made of?

PhloxE: Hi. what of this adventure papu promised/ R U all playing too?

Exodusor: i am a bit unwell...i will go home and rest...

Crest Maiden: Wait, (shout loudly),  girls.............. looked at the pool,  there is something shaking there.......and it's start moving.........

Shaylee:  (follow Crest and look into the pool) Yeah the surface is rippling, what is happening?

PhloxE: Exodusor - U can pluck a few of my leaves , just put it on where it feel bad and it will feel better. Nana always do that.

Shaylee: (run back to the big rock and hid there) I am scare.

Exodusor:  thx

(Crest Maiden control wind well.... protect Exodus home safely till she reach home...)

PhloxE: Crest- It's only my shadow

Exodusor:  oh..thx crest

PhloxE: U mean your shadow can make the pool water move?

 PhloxE :  it makes the pool look like its moving

Skysaver: yes...  I want to try also

Skysaver: Try the spell in your magical book lah

Shaylee: R u sick?

Crest maiden (say to PhloxE): It's a nature ability of my ancestor....the power of the wind only follows me... but i can teach you how to wind yourself during sunny day :D

Shaylee: Not really..  but want to learn the spell

PhloxE: OK (very please that the adventure seem to hv started) when can we all practice

Crest Maiden: wow.....look at the sky, there is seven colour like a bridge........

Shaylee: Hehehe, okay if you are not scare that I give you the wrong one... My people always very scare to try my spell, at one time I gave the lovesick potion to my friend who is having fever..... hahahha.... (laugh naughtly)

PhloxE: Crest lady, is this part of a game?

what i learn about the online tutorial tonight, allowing yourself to free, and no doubtful of who you are, just be in the character, go with the flow

YES, the script can't be rewrite, but the script can be recreate with new experience, new role with new environment

talking with the character, actually is working with the client's metaphor and symbolic creative imaginative space. allow client to project the value, the belief and thought about the feeling, thinking and etc

REMEMBER: not to leading the witness

meaning, when doing interview, don't overtake the role as the "character"

let the character speak by itself

zhang is a youth who experience trauma when mother and himself become victim of DV.
father had affair with the secretary, and leave the family. 
mother left zhang by ages 7, as need to ear money for living. when mother left him, he wasn't aware, he though mother just abandoned him. he can't sleep at night, while the grandmother take care of him, he need to space himself up in square to sleep tight.

he had been drop out from school

zhang can't talk nicely with mother, inside his heart, he think that mother never love him

zhang found that gf had betrayed him and be with another guy
gf asked for break
zhang is not willing to let go
he wants his gf so hardly
to be with his gf, he sacrifies his opportunity to work as cook in singapore
zhang so angry and thinking of kidnaped his gf from school and run away from his hometown
at last, he didn't. but he can't conrol himself , and had bring "knife" parang - to follow his gf to shopping mall...and almost want to chop at her...


now zhang is still unaccept that gf is leaving him........

i used a lot of time to think, what's the character i want, and i am trying to follow Alex sifu guideline
hmmm...few emails from Alex sifu, and i am going to do some editing.


well, 
i have no idea, how to do dramatic play/roleplaying online.
er....it's like a bit complicated, well, i take this as learning opportunity and see, if this is going to be helpful with what i worked with. i am in exciting mode, a bit of scare (as unknown what's alex sifu going to asked to do next)


but, i am willing to let my "inner child" to role it out 
gotta removed my "guts' feelings, i just act it out....

My History	Adept in the manipulation of storm and wind, Crest Maiden is the very image of elegeance and grace. They say she was once an angel. What we know is that she was thrown into the void between worlds and has emerged with the power of manipulating time. She can freeze her time by traveling a split-second back in time. She can briefly rip apart the fabric of space-time to freeze units around her, yet remain free herself to act. It is rumored that she can instantly appear in multiple locations, but nobody sees her move. also some people said she always come together with LeideFox, a wolf who as protector

She can rip open a Chronosphere in space time to stop all units inside it, except for herself, to wreak havoc as she pleases. While she is initially weak, you should never underestimate a hero with great special potential that also has the ability to stop time. Never.
Weaknesses	With the ability the master the chronosphere, crest maiden can easily fall to dilemma of dwelling in the past and future, but not make herself to live in reality. She is easily to get lose in space of time, without aware of missing of her right track

o maybe just like what alex mentioned in the mail. To be able to facilitate the children effectively in engaging them in therapeutic process of imaginative role playing, the therapists themselves need to experience their own process to be able to appreciate them first hand. 

i need to allowed my own inner ‘child’ come out to play once, by the imaginative and fantasy...... where i will be going to creat a fantasy character for myself as I AM travel into the magical mythic world 

i really feel excited, at the same time, i am feeling anxious, the unknown make me curious of what am i going to faced. It's just like reading "no words Book", all goes with feeling. there is no written rules and regulation what u need to do, which law should u follow, etc. 

right now, in my mind, i am thinking, WHAT KIND of an a fantasy world as i going to meet, as i am engaging with other characters. I asked, WHAT is the challenges i am going to meet? please dun asked me to killed mytic dragon, rescue princess,.....  OMG...

inside my liitle heart,  i think how will ALEX sifu going to guide us to perform the tasks ya???

and the most importantly, HOW does it work?

For your Personal Learning Journal

So start by reflecting on the skills workshop that you had just attended last Saturday.

• Facilitate the role playing process for individuals/groups in bringing about the desired intended outcomes.
• Observe, reflect, assess and evaluate role dynamics and the dramatic role playing process in identification and formulation of problem areas, needs as well as in  monitoring therapeutic progress and change
• Utilise various therapeutic structures and techniques in dramatic role playing which is appropriate to the individual/group and relevant and its aims.

LEARNING REQUIRES YOUR PARTICIPATION - Pay regular visits to your group members Personal Learning Journals and offer your feedback comments on their entries - words of encouragement, reflective prompts, your own views/opinions, links to resources, questions,  etc. Without this kind of interaction there is no value to be gain from learning in a group.  You have to maintain regular entries in your Personal Learning Journal, learning requires risks in making your thoughts and feelings visible, such self disclosure and constructive feedback from colleagues are essential for ‘real’ learning. I suggest that as a guideline; make at least a minimum of an entry a week besides contributing to your members PLJ.

I encourage you in experimenting with embedding a variety of mutli-media add-ons in your blog, creativity includes finding new ways of playing, in this case, the digital environment, in expressing yourself. Many of your have shown evidence of that in your blogs, thus hopefully, this will be a source of inspiration for you and remember to learn from each other, this is after all your action learning set.

Role Playing Game (RPG)

To be able to facilitate the children effectively in engaging them in therapeutic process of imaginative role playing, the therapists themselves need to experience their own process to be able to appreciate them first hand. You need to allow yourself the permission to immerse your own inner ‘child’ playing in the imaginative realm of fantasy and make belief to gain an understanding of the inner workings of dramatic role playing. To this end, I have set up this component of the learning experience for the Action Learning Set where you will be creating a fantasy character for yourself as you travel into the magical mythic world of an a fantasy world as you engage other characters, meet challenges, and perform tasks etc. How does it work?

1.       First created a fantasy character for yourself and ‘become’ this character as you journey into the imaginary realm of Drpworld - http://drpworld.lefora.com/  .  We are using a forum to support the role playing although we could have use Second Life but my concern is that the broadband might not  it and it is not asynchronous. I have already sent you an invite to this private forum set up for members only. To create an avatar to represent this fantasy character go to some of the links which will make the task easier. Just use screen print to capture the image you have created and a picture editor to edit it. Have fun!

2.       Once you have a character introduce yourself as that character at Drpworld.lefora.com  Tips as you enter remember to create a ritual as you enter into the threshold of the virtual world. Perform a simple concrete action and use an object to associate the period you are online whilst in your fantasy role. Example: In my character role as Shape Shifter, I will make a conscious and intentional effort to put a marble (in RP fantasy, that’s my crystal oracle, which the Shape Shifter keeps in the pouch on her belt) in a container next to my computer during the period when I am engage in the virtual role playing. Once I have finished then I remove the marble and return it to the box marking my transition from dramatic reality back to ordinary reality. I am not longer the Shape Shifter, reminding myself that I am back as Alex and the dinner is burning!!! J  This helps to keep your boundary and your feet grounded, hopefully decreasing the possibility of potential internet addiction. It is wise to set a specific day or time which you put aside for this task.

3.       Role playing means you have to dialogue with other characters whilst in character. Use 1^st person, present tense in your dialogue. And because you are dialoguing in text, you have to you use adjectives, adverbs to provide the visual details of the action and context. Example

Shape Shifter:  Who are you and what do you want?

Speaking at he top of his voice with a slight quiver as he quickly turn around looking into the darkness from where the sound and shadowy figure is emerging

Be clear who you are addressing your statement to because we cannot see the directionality of your eye gaze as we are relying on the text to be able to visualised the imagery in our heads. You can embed images, videos and links as well to support your role playing at Drpworld

4.       Use your Personal Learning Journal to document your learning and insights as you reflect your character, your character’s development and emerging story line. Developing an ‘aesthetic distance’ between ‘self’ and ‘self-in-role’ will be a helpful process.  Useful to see and refer to the character in ‘third person’ to maintain the benefit of externalisation. Also see the other fantasy characters in the same light and not as your colleagues as you know them in ordinary reality. Examples will be provided in the forum to get you started.
